We provide a balanced portfolio of generalist and specialist full-time and part-time programmes constantly updated in line with today's rapidly changing and complex economy.
These are amongst the most dynamic, relevant and thorough programmes available recognised and respected by potential employers across the UK and beyond.
Throughout, there is a strong focus on putting theory into practice. Also, because many of our programmes are accredited to professional industry bodies, our graduates are exempted from certain examinations when applying for professional qualifications later.
World-class teaching
Programmes are delivered by a team of highly qualified and extensively experienced academic staff who are actively engaged in research, consultancy and training activities with leading organisations.
Teaching is always relevant and current, supported by a personal tutor to advise on academic matters and offer pastoral support. We also engage the services of an excellent team of visiting professors, scholars and business leaders - each an expert in their particular field.
Students embarking on a postgraduate programme are also invited to attend an induction residential - an excellent way to meet course tutors and fellow students.
Specialist facilities
Postgraduate students enjoy exclusive use of a dedicated postgraduate suite with teaching rooms, IT labs and a comfortable lounge area where you can work in groups, use a laptop or simply relax over a coffee catching the latest news on our plasma screen TV.
Customised learning
Customised texts and learning materials are provided free of charge in partnership with Pearson Education, the world's largest publisher in business and management.
The learning process is further supported buy our eLearning Portal which gives you access to a full range of resources, materials and news 24/7.
Postgraduate Student Society (PGSS)
Cultural friendships, social contacts and networking lie at the heart of the Newcastle Business School PGSS ethos. We have a varied programme of social events, trips, talks and a debating society. Employability is the goal of all our programmes and as you'd expect we operate a well established careers guidance service not simply during your time at university but following graduation as well.

It's a very exciting time to be at Newcastle Business School. In September 2007, Newcastle Business School relocated to a brand new £100 million state-of-the-art new building adjacent to Newcastle City Centre and Northumbria University's main campus, which has been refurbished and landscaped to form one huge unified campus.
As well as being a prominent landmark within the city and the university, the new building offers a world class learning and social facility for all students.
